Varieties and seeds

Diverse varieties for
each market

Rijk Zwaan offers a wide range of high-quality vegetable varieties specifically selected for local Asian conditions. We select and test these vegetable varieties carefully and comprehensively to ensure that they are adapted to the needs of your local market.

Tailor-made technical advice and
variety development

Selecting the right variety requires in-depth knowledge on specific growing conditions and the latest market developments. Only the best choice of variety for your particular growing conditions will be recommended. It is important to us that our varieties subsequently get an optimal result, which is why we devote considerable time and effort to sharing.

Win-win situations and long term

Our involvement with customers does not just end with the sale of the seed, we look forward to working with partners to establish long-term and stable cooperative relations, common development, and sharing a healthy future! Together with our partners, we want to actively contribute to the world’s food supply and stimulate vegetable consumption by laying the foundations for healthy and appealing vegetables.

“Salanova® lettuce is unique in the marketplace”
Ten million heads of lettuce are hydroponically grown at Great Lakes Growers in Ohio, USA, every year: clean, fresh and delicious. “We like the Salanova lettuces for the uniformity, colour and simplicity of cultivation. Our collaboration with Rijk Zwaan is one of the single most important factors in our success,” says CEO and owner John Bonner. He explains why Salanova helps him to move ‘freshly forward’. ‘Freshly Forward, from Foundation to Future’ – this is the theme Rijk Zwaan has chosen for tackling today’s challenges, together with its partners.
