Leafy Hydroponics Event

The rising popularity of fresh and healthy leafy vegetables among young Asian consumers is creating a fast-growing market for hydroponically grown ‘leafies’. To share the latest insights into this market, Rijk Zwaan is organising a free two-hour Leafy Hydroponics Event on 5 September, one day before Asia Fruit Logistica starts. To hear expert views on three topics – market trends, technology and sales & marketing – join us at this unique event!

Global and Asian market trends

The Leafy Hydroponics Event kicks off with an overview of the global leafy greens landscape and convenience market trends by Bauke van Lenteren, Marketing and Leafy Green Specialist at Rijk Zwaan. Friso Klok, Rijk Zwaan Area Sales and Chain Manager for South East Asia, subsequently looks at developments in the hydroponics market specifically in the Asian region.

Hydroponics technology trends

What are the most promising new technological solutions for hydroponically grown leafies in the Asian market? In the event’s second session, four hardware experts – Manuel Madani from greenhouse tech company Priva, Rani Bassil from substrate specialist Klasmann-Deilmann, Kurt Cornelissen from installation company Hortiplan NV, and Craig D'Souza from lighting expert Philips Horticulture LED Solutions – discuss best practices suitable for the local market, share their learnings and challenges and give insights in their future vision of this market.

Sales & marketing success stories
